I launched a new premium gallery last week - "Jeansbound Early Days", and there's already 2200+ photos in it! This gallery will include all the photos from when I was first starting out, and later offered these photos on a 2 CD set. CD-1 is now uploaded in this gallery, and CD-2 will be added over the next week or so. The price for either CD was $20, $35 for both, and now I'm going to start by offering this gallery for just $7.95 as an introductory price.

It's been fun looking back at these photos from 2004-05, seeing things I did pretty well, and some things that I'm glad I learned to do a lot better. Some things about this gallery:

I used blindfolds a lot more back then, partially because a lot of my early models were willing to model (and to be put in bondage), but not show their face.

I didn't use gags very much at the beginning. That would definitely change over time.

There were several models that didn't do a lot of bondage modeling otherwise, so while I never requested or expected exclusivity it kind of happened anyway: I don't know that Jasmine, MJ, Missy, Amy, Amber Essence, Isabella, Jenna, Olyvia, and Gia modeled in bondage for any other photographers.

The photography is my earliest work, with my original camera - lighting wasn't always great, shutter speed setting wasn't always good, and my positioning was sometimes sub-optimal. Also, given general limits of the camera's resolution and available space on a SD card, most of these pictures are somewhere between 1280x960 and 640x480 - small by today's standards, but all the photos were shot 17+ years ago.

I appreciate the early support for this, and while there are drawbacks there's also enough uniqueness given some of the models, style, and other things that I decided to make this available again (almost all these sets were on Images 4 Sale, but that has been closed down). And this format seems to be better - there you needed to buy the gallery and then store it yourself. Here, you can subscribe and visit the gallery, stored in the cloud on dA, whenever you want, and the price is a fraction of both those original CDs I sold and the combined price buying it on I4S.

Added an image of Tessa Jade barefoot bound in a bikini and denim vest today.  Also, added an option to purchase and download the full photo set that this image is part of right here on DeviantArt.  It's priced at 130 points, and there are 33 images in the set.  (So a bit less than 0.05/image, similar to pricing that was on BondageTokens).

After my recent hosting company change I lost all of my BondageTokens sets (lost isn't the word - I have them all, but they're no longer accessible for purchase unless I can rebuild a lot of basic file structure).  So next step will likely be to make the full sets available of images already posted here at dA.  And if this is well-received, then I may continue with posting new sets here too.  And trust me, there's the opportunity for a lot of new.  But I need to know folks would be interested in purchasing the sets - whether here or somewhere else.

So let me know if you'd be interested in buying sets here - it seems like you can purchase the points needed for my content, or any other sellers here at dA, for as little as $5.  Obviously, the best way to let me know is by actually buying something.  But, also comment on photos already posted and ask about making the rest of the set available, and I'll prioritize that way.

Thanks!

Enjoying a chance to take it easy on Independence Day, and decided to add a couple of new images from the archive - one of Nicky Masters barefoot bound wearing a t-shirt (a 2 or 3 sizes too small t-shirt) that says "USA" on it and has the flag.  The video that accompanied this photo set is also being released at the Jeansbound Clips4Sale store later.  My store number there is 14835.  The link gets blocked from dA, so take that info to figure out where to go, as need be.

Other new image is of Vivian Ireene Pierce, barefoot in jeans in a US flag design tank top.  The video for this image has been available in the same clip store for awhile, but if you haven't seen it, you can get it there.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend.

It's been awhile since I've added photos here, so I decided the theme for this set of uploads would be having 1 new photo each with a different number of models in it.  I've now done at least 1 shoot with 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 models, so five new photos were added.

Clearly, most of my shoots are with 1 model, so there was a lot to choose from there.  I picked Erika Jordan because I hadn't previously presented a photo of her here, although she has quickly become my most popular model - something she's helped accomplish by being readily available, but more importantly by delivering such incredible performances in custom videos that folks keep asking for her.

Next up was a two model photo.  I chose Hollis Ireland and Essie together.  This was a fun shoot.  Both models had never met, but were actually from the same Midwestern state, had gone to colleges that were sort of rivals, and now spent a couple of hours getting tied up together, tickling each other and sucking each other's toes (in fact it was Essie's first time ever doing and receiving foot worship - she was a natural).

The three-model, four-model, and five-model shoots were all made possible by a European customer that enjoys seeing multiple women in a catfighting type of scenario.  Luckily with each of these we had some time left after completing the video to get a set of photos and/or other video done.

The three-model shoot was Jacquelyn Velvets, Jamie Daniels, and Jai Dee Madison, and the three friends find themselves tied up outdoors, thanks to Jai Dee having a friend who lent us a location (his yard) for the shoot.

The four-model shoot was Amo Morbia, Odette Delacroix, Edie (a friend of Amo involved in her first ever fetish shoot), and Lucky.  This was in a studio thanks to a industry friend of Amo and mine lending up his studio that day.

And the five-model shoot was out in the woods, which let the ladies get a bit dirty while they struggled in bondage.  That featured Lydia Lael, Jessica Rose, Tara Rose, Amy Starr and Jade Indica.  Making that shoot happen also was an exercise in physics - how can you squeeze 5 adults into a Ford Mustang, and in algebra - where the old question of "If a car is traveling eastbound for a miles at x miles per hour and a train is traveling westbound for b miles at y miles per hour at what time and place will they meet?"

Anyway, comments are always welcome.  Thanks for viewing.

I had a recent battle on here with a user (corsariosietemares) that had posted a gallery of several hundred photos, a minority, if any, of his own original work, but the overwhelming majority being bondage photos from a number of different photographers, myself included.  I have previously dealt with people like this, usually in one of three forms:

1. People who remove the copyright tag from the photo, leaving the artist uncredited.
2. People who manipulate the original image, usually replacing the face of the photographed model with a celebrity.  Sometimes with the tag removed, sometimes with it in place.
3. People who place the original image into their gallery without alteration, so it still includes the original copyright tag of the true artist.

This is the first time I recall encountering a user that removed the copyright tag and replaced it with his own tag.  Such behavior is, among other things, illegal, unethical, disgraceful, shameful, and vile.  It is theft, and yet it is orders of magnitude worse than simply getting hold of an artist's portfolio and enjoying it for yourself without compensating the artist.  Passing the work off as one's own requires the conscious thought that the artwork being viewed is very good, and deserving of praise, and instead of reaching out to provide that praise this vile person expends effort to eliminate the connection between the art and artist by removing the tag, and substituting his own.

Those that remove the copyright tag and leave the work untagged are not much better.  They may claim that the addition of the tag took something away from the photo, removing any natural element of the scene without the tag overlaid on it.  If these people would remember to credit the artist in the caption, it would be much easier to believe them.

As for photo manipulations, I can have another entire journal on that, and will at a later time.

Next, we get to those that place a copyrighted photograph in their dA Gallery.  Please recognize, it is still against the concept of copyright protection to post another person's work to your gallery even if you leave their tag in place unless you receive permission.  But speaking only for myself, I am generally OK with someone doing this, and I've seen that people have posted my properly tagged work in their gallery on dA, because my tag serves to provide me credit, and also serve as a reference point for a viewer to seek out more of my work if they are interested - so it is marketing.  But if you really want to do this, you should really check with the artist first.  Some may have a similar opinion to mine.  Others will not.  Whatever they decide, they are very much entitled to that opinion and it should be respected.

One more point on this, and tying it back to the issue that prompted this posting - there is a world of difference between curating and creating.  If you want to curate a great gallery by adding work that others did that you think is really great, as a concept that's fine.  With so much content, of all kinds, produced and archived now, there is a lot of value generated by people that can aggregate that content logically and creatively, and that enhances the user experience of viewing, or even just finding, the art he/she is looking for.  But just as the curator at the Louvre doesn't get to claim that he created the Mona Lisa, you cannot take artwork and photography you like, remove the creator's tag and replace it with your own when you present your collection.

Instead, get the permission from each and every artist you want to feature, for each and every piece you want to feature.  Ensure that credit is provided to the audience you are presenting to (leave copyright tags if the artist added them, or add credit in the caption/description if the work doesn't have a tag).   Focus your work on why your aggregation of other artists' work is worth viewing - what story is told from bringing together these selected pieces, or why are these particular pieces so outstanding compared to everything else?  And very important - if you plan to sell access to this collection in any way, you absolutely must compensate the artist (negotiate the terms when you seek permission to use the artwork).  Your work as a curator may very well be worth some compensation.  But without the artist's work to present no one is paying you anything.

Finally, if someone really wants to claim the credit for some great photos, send me a message.  I'll give you a price quote that covers the model's cost, my time for pre-shoot prep, work during the shoot and post-shoot editing and processing.  I am quite willing to do "white-label" production where you can claim the credit for the work and determine where and how it is shown.  But that is discussed and agreed to by both of us before photos are created, not decided unilaterally by a user that decides they need an ego boost by claiming credit for some photos that I spent all the time and money producing.
